West Coast Conference

The West Coast Conference was founded as the California Basketball Association in 1952.

In 1959, the conference changed its name to the West Coast Athletic Conference, and in 1989 it was shorted to its present name. Brigham Young University joined in 2010 after leaving the Mountain West Conference to become independent in footbally. BYU announced it would leave the WCC and join the Big 12 effective the summer of 2023.

There are nine schools in the conference, and all of them field a baseball team. Of them, three are located in Southern California: Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine and San Diego:
