Westcliff University was founded in 1993 as an online school offering degrees in education and business. The school moved to a physical campus in Irvine in 2018, and two years later to its present location.
The Westcliff Warriors began competing in baseball in 2020 as a member of the California Pacific Conference (NAIA).
Home games are played at nearby Great Park, owned by the City of Irvine.
