Biola University was founded in 1908 as the Bible Institute of Los Angeles. In 1949, it was renamed Biola College, and in 1959 moved to its current campus in La Mirada. In 1981, it acquired university status and adopted its current name.

Biola began playing intercollegiate baseball in 1960 as an independent member of the NAIA. They joined the Golden State Athletic Conference of the NAIA in 1994, and joined the Pacific West Conference in 2018 when they moved up to the NCAA Div. II

The Eagles have never played in a College World Series.

Baseball Almanac lists four former Biola Eagles who have gone on to play in the Major Leagues, including Tim and Todd Worrell.

Biola plays its home games on campus at Eagles Diamond. Built 50 years ago, Eagles Diamond seats 125.
