The United States Collegiate Athletic Association was founded in 1966 as the National Little College Athletic Association to offer post-season tournament opportunities to smaller schools. In 1989, it updated its name to National Small College Athletic Association, and it took its current name in 2001.
It currently has 72 member schools, three of which play baseball and are in Southern California.
