Westmont College was founded in 1937 in Los Angeles as the Bible Missionary Institute. Two years later, the name was changed to the Western Bible College. And in 1940, the school adopted its current name, and five years later it moved to its current location.
The Warriors have competed in baseball since 1958, and won the 2023 NAIA College World Series. For the 2023-24 academic year, Westmont will move up to NCAA Division II and compete in the Pacific West Conference.
According to Baseball Reference, four former Warriors have made it to the Major Leagues – the most recent being infielder Michael Stefanic, called up by the Angels in 2022.
Home games are played on campus at Russell Carr Field.
